Massive capitals influx in western Chinese cities
ANBOUND

During a field research conducted by Anbound in the western region of China, we discover the massive capitals and enterprise influx to some western cities like Chengdu from the coastal cities in the east. Instead of recruiting investments abroad, local government's officials now can scrutinize less favorable investment that they used to be considered as profitable. The criteria for investment becomes stricter due to lack of substitution from elsewhere in China. The production cost of the coastal cities in the southeast of China has skyrocketed to an unacceptable level, and even the cost in the neighboring central provinces is continuously rising. Populated western region with lower cost attracted massive entrepreneurs to move their production to the region such as Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, subsequently bringing up a new wave of investment in the future.
