China should reflect on sharing economy
ANBOUND
On August 3, several departments in the Chinese government had issued guidance on bike-sharing. Other than providing normative opinions on bike-sharing developments, it acknowledges the development of sharing economy mode through the State Council's exceptional example. The rapid development of shared bikes in China is a typical window for the development of the economy in China. It is a new thing that must appear in the age of internet and the era of excess capital; this should be encouraged and supported. Concerning the problems brought by economic development such as urban management, waste of resources, information security and traffic safety, the government and the market also need to do some reflections, adjusting and innovating to avoid sharing economy become a short-lived economic model.
