"100-Days Plan" promotes China's further opening-up
ANBOUND
May 12, the China's State Council Information Office announced the early result of the "100-Days Plan" under the framework of economic cooperation between China and the United States, where the two sides made some breakthroughs, and it is a mutual "open the door" agreement. However, we have noticed that there has been some concern in China, because according to the relevant provisions of the WTO, the part where China opens to the United States should also be open to other countries in the future. In fact, from the historical and economic point of view, this worry is not necessary. For example, China's accession to the WTO for 16 years is an opportunity to achieve great development from the process of globalization, and this has laid its influential position in the global market. Relying on its huge market, China should take this as an opportunity to promote further opening, rather than closing it up.
