Chan Kung: World entering a new era of major crisis
ANBOUND
As Emmanuel Macron is elected as the new French President, Anbound's chief researcher Chan Kung believes that the world may begin to enter a new era of great crisis. In the 19th century, the world was hit by industrialization, the outbreak of a series of crises and independent movements, such as the American Civil War, the Latin American Independence Movement, and the Southeast European national movements. In the 20th century, with the progress of technology and production, there were the two World Wars. Now we are in an era of globalization, but also an era of great impact in which the social class differentiation is serious enough to affect the mainstream politics of different countries; these are often the warning of the advent of the crisis.
