Yiwu a model of acceptance of foreign immigrants for China
ANBOUND
According to Yiwu government's work report, in 2016 there is a total of 9675 foreigners received temporary residence permit in the city, an increase of 17% over the previous year, of which more than half are from war-torn countries such as Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan. In addition, there are people from Yemen, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, Mali, South Korea and other countries. It should be noted that Yiwu as an international commodity distribution center is now having more foreign immigrants. Yiwu has adopted a more flexible approach to the issuance of residence permits, rather than chasing away them, which serves as a positive model to welcome foreign immigrants in China.
