After the introduction of the Xiong'an New District, strong resource mobilization ability has emerged. Anbound Think Tank estimates that in the next 10 years the Central Government of China will invest about 2 trillion yuan in Xiong'an New District. We believe that this is an "experimental field" of the Central Government, trying to ease Beijing’s excessive non-capital functions to promote the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei zone and to remedy the imbalance in the regional economic development; this is also "gift" of the Central Government to Hebei. Yet, it should be remembered that after pouring in huge resources, the Central Government would want to see XIong’an becomes what it want it to be. The future development will be “Hebei’s land, Central Government’s Xiong’an”. After establishing XIong’an, Hebei Provincial government should keep its position and maintain the balance. We expect that in the future there might be administrative division adjustment with the possibility of a separate XIong’an City.
