Chan Kung: Brexit and the changing world
ANBOUND
In regards to the stalemate between Britain and the EU on Brexit, and that the EU may not be seriously dealing with future negotiations, Anbound chief researcher Chan Kung pointed out that EU is now unhappy and its orientation is using trade relations as barrier to sanction any country wishes to withdraw from the EU, making the EU changing from a trade union to a more dangerous political alliance. Secondly, the EU's behavior may actually cause the world to make new choices. For example, the Commonwealth countries in the past may consider re-establishing the Commonwealth as a common market system; the United States can also reconsider the establishment of the US-led common market system in the Americas. Of course, China can also consider establishing its own regional common market system.
