There recent development of the Xiong'an New District is eye-catching. From the existing development plan, in the future of the development of Beijing will be reduced, while Xiong’an’s will be increased, and new support will be provided for Hebei’s economy. Previously Anbound Think Tank’s chief researcher Chan Kung has warned about the impact of the continuous decline of Beijing's economy. Economically, Beijing is supporting the entire north and northeast region of China. But now, Beijing is facing the pressure of the moving out of the central government owned enterprises, the commercial market is completely destroyed while the manufacturing industry is totally stripped off. The only industries available are property and service industries, yet there are restrictions in property purchase now. China should be vigilant of the risk that the collapse of Beijing’s economy happens before Hebei and Tianjin’s economy is taking off. Once this happens, it will be a great historic responsibility.
