Moving out of big Taiwanese enterprises causes impact on the Taiwanese economy
ANBOUND
The news that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is moving some of its manufacturing to the United States has shocked the Taiwanese industry; the Taiwanese government feels nervous about this too. The reason is that there are difficulties in the environmental impact assessment, land, electricity and other aspects; a deeper reason is the chaotic political situation and uncontrolled populist influence. In fact, TSMC's moving out is just the tip of the iceberg; Formosa Plastics, Hon Hai, E-United and other large enterprises have also moved out to invest in the United States; the middle and lower stream enterprises may also follow the move. It is important to emphasize that the large enterprises as the representative of the business world in Taiwan are moving out, this will cause impact in Taiwan's economy. If Taiwan's economy collapses, the assets of Taiwan as a whole will depreciate and will have a greater influence on the future development of the Taiwanese society.
