As the trade situation deteriorates, China faces a real question: how should it establish and uphold international trade principles and frameworks? The answer to Anbound is clear: WTO. On the one hand, China has paid a huge price to join the WTO; on the other hand, China is not only the main beneficiary of the WTO mechanism, but also a strong support. As the United States withdraws from the TPP, and Europe's TTIP negotiations are put aside, the WTO international trade system will show its influence again. Although the Trump administration claims that the United States will withdraw from the WTO and called it a "disaster", the United States generally will not do so. In this context, China needs to make full use of and defend the WTO mechanism, relying on this international trade rules to protect their own interests, and to expand its participation in global economic governance.
