Recently, the head of the statistics department of People's Bank of China, Sheng Songcheng said that according to the international standards, the current conditions are mature for China to liberalize its capital account. Basically, capital account liberalization is one of China's mid-long term development strategies. Therefore, China should not change the liberalization process due to short-term volatility in international financial market.
