Former Director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and current director of Pfizer, Scott Gottlieb said on the November 5 that the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States may end in January next year. “By Jan. 4, this pandemic may well be over, at least as it relates to the United States after we get through this delta wave of infection. And we’ll be in a more endemic phase of this virus”, he said.

My opinion is that in the spring next year, there will be another wave of COVID-19. I shall not go into details, as this has been discussed in multiple occasions in the past. While Gottlieb said the pandemic will end in spring 2022, I believe that there will be another wave that time. Time will tell whose forecast will be more accurate.
