"Super aging" and “super urbanization” in China
ANBOUND
A situation China is facing now is that while its huge population is experiencing "super-aging", the country is moving towards "super urbanization". By 2025, China will have 221 cities with at least one million population. Anbound research team believes that these two trends together will undoubtedly affect China's future development in many ways. Aging population will be the primary problem in China's major cities, and the resulting demand for social security will be a huge pressure on Chinese society. China will continue its urbanization, which in the future will stimulate investment and economic growth. Urban industry will also change, but the lack of old age well-being services will bring huge challenge.
