US might use Section 301 on China

According to the annual trade policy report submitted by the United States Trade Representative (USTR) to the Congress, the United States is considering using Section 301 of the U.S. Trade Act which is aim at imposing sanctions on unfair trade-off countries, and not subject to the World Trade Organization (WTO)'s ruling. Anbound research team believes that a threat from the United States to the target countries to make concessions. Considering China's further opening up of the domestic market, especially the service industry and the manufacturing market, its action to reduce the export of some commodities, its subsidies to some state-owned enterprises, as well as the economic and trade issues between China and the United States, it cannot be ruled out that the United States will use Section 301 or similar means on China. If China focuses from the positive point of view, China need to seriously consider and study on how to utilize this external situation to enforce domestic reform and opening up.
