Offshore wind power generation should not follow the footsteps of inland's
ANBOUND
According to Global Wind Statistics released in 2016, the situation of abandoning wind energy in China is getting more serious. At the same time, there has been new improvement in the wind energy in Shanghai. Anbound research team believes that offshore wind power, like photovoltaic power generation, faces challenges such as the high cost of integrated power generation, dependence on state subsidies, grid-tied consumption, and the need for thermal peaking. The success of wind power in Europe is related to the maturity of the wind energy market, reasonable price mechanism, good hardware and software, market designs that suit national conditions and characteristics, breaking down of barriers, national quality, policy system, as well as business and public participation. Before a major breakthrough is achieved in China's electricity, blindly investing in offshore wind power would cause over-investment and the abandonment of the wind power.
