China should be careful about inland nuclear power plants
ANBOUND
Based on China's industry interests and short-term needs, several parties are now urging for the inland nuclear power plants; this is especially so when the Central Government’s decision-makers feel the pressure of reduction in emissions. Anbound has always been opposing to this plan, and strongly suggests the Central Government to carefully consider this plan. This plan does not leave space for regret, and from the point of view of nuclear power industry chain, nuclear energy is not exactly "clean". China's energy needs cannot be expected to rely on nuclear power as the solution, and there is no guarantee that the operation of the power plants will be without accident. Compares with Japan, there are huge differences of the nuclear power plants in the coastal area and in the inland area. Inland nuclear power plants will affect tens of thousands of people for generation, and the Chinese government should think carefully on this matter.
