Land resource plans might be in conflict with property market
ANBOUND
The recently announced land resource planning outline for the 13th Five-Year Plan points out that the land use plan is leaning towards small and medium-sized cities, while large and mega-city center will not receive new construction land plans. This means that large cities and mega cities' land supply will be slowing down and become stricter, which will have a greater impact on the real estate market. There may be a situation in the future that cities that require land cannot supply any, yet those places required to be de-inventoried would have ample of land supply, and this kind of situation might become common. To ensure the smooth implementation of the relevant policies, the small and medium cities should have good infrastructural services, traffics and environment, and with the land reform policy, there are chances to attract talents and capitals to these cities.
