Trend of China's labor force not optimistic
ANBOUND

According to the data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics on January 20, in 2016 the national working-age population was 907.47 million, accounting for 65.6% of the total population. Overall, China's labor force is still abundant, however it is noteworthy that the working age population is decreasing as the degree of aging continues to deepen. Anbound research team believes that the continuous decline in the number of working-age population as the population ages in the future, there would be long-term problems. Secondly, while China's total labor force is large, China cannot always emphasize its advantages in the size of the population. With rising wages, large-scale increase in the cost of labor is more prominent. Thirdly, China's labor productivity is too low, comparable to only one-eighth of Europe and the United States. In view of this, the development trend of China's labor force is not optimistic.
