China's financial opening-up in view of including A-Share in MSCI
ANBOUND
In May this year, there will be an annual assessment of the MSCI (Ming Sheng) Emerging Market Index. Concerning the question of whether the A-share market will be included, the market is rather cautious, although JPMorgan Chase has said it is unlikely to be so. According to Anbound research team, foreign markets still distrust China's financial market opening-up and reform, indicating that there is a gap between our openness and that of the market expectations. China cannot always adjust its policies in the "shock-response" mode, and more importantly it should devise policy arrangements in advance under the "forecast-strategy" model.
