Trump a hindrance for EU integration
ANBOUND

In an interview with the British Conservative MP Michael Gove, Donald Trump criticized the European Union (EU) as a tool for Germany, while other countries would follow the footsteps of Britain and support Brexit, according to the Sunday Times. He also expressed his dissatisfactions on the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, while reiterating the negative attitude towards NATO. As for the relationship with Russia and Putin, Trump's recent attitude has become slightly conservative. Anbound researchers believe that EU is facing refugee-induced terrorist attacks and right-wing populism, and Trump’s attacks on the EU and NATO have become more fatal. This might cause Putin to be determined to strengthen the expansion of the traditional Russian sphere of influence in Eastern Europe, further resulting in the collapse of the EU and the inability of NATO.
