More than 90% of informal financial institutions except five state-owned financial institutions in Guangdong Province have disappeared or "hibernating" due to the government's readjustment. From Anbound's point of view, over-intervention from the government does not help much in solving the problem; in fact it could damage the local financial ecology. Informal finance should be managed by the private sector and should not be replaced by national banks.
