Reducing risks and resistance in Belt & Road Initiative
ANBOUND

As the Chinese government steadily promotes the implementation of the Belt & Road Initiative, more Chinese enterprises implementing the "going out" strategy to increase the acquisitions and investments of assets in the countries and regions along the Initiative, yet these enterprises increasingly feel the resistance and interference from developed countries. This has a lot to do with the shift of competition between China and Europe and between China and the United States to a higher level (genetic engineering, modern agriculture, artificial intelligence and aerospace development), stagnation or even retrogression of globalization, and dramatic changes in the political and social environment in the United States and Europe. Anbound senior researcher Chan Kung believes that it would be strategically wrong merely to protest against and to express dissatisfaction to Western politicians. There is the need to persuade Western countries and societies (people and entrepreneurs) to increase their understanding of Chinese enterprises and Chinese investments, instead of merely criticizing the governments of these countries.
