After the State Council approved the establishment of Shanghai Free Trade Zone (FTZ), many cities including Guangzhou, Xiamen, Tianjin, etc. are actively seeking the approval to establish pilot FTZs. Among these cities, Guangzhou Nansha is now actively making plans and try to submit the application soonest possible. Several insiders point out that these FTZs must have their own key focuses and regional features in order to get approval from the State Council.
