China-Philippines resume friendly relations

The official 4-days visit of President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines to China has ended on October 21. This is a fruitful visit for President Duterte as the two countries had signed 13 bilateral cooperation documents, and China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the restoration of the friendly relations and normalization between the two countries. This also marks the pragmatic cooperation between China and the Philippines has entered a new stage, where the two countries have properly handled of the South China Sea, resuming bilateral dialogues and negotiations. A series of cooperation documents signed by China and Philippine will expand the scale of bilateral economic and trade cooperation. China will also support the Philippines to participate in the Maritime Silk Road program, helping the Philippines to catch-up with regional economic development.
