The development of the western frontier region is of great significance to China. However, there are also some problems in the existing policies and policy implementation in supporting the frontier areas. Through field surveys, Anbound has found out that the border area's education is an often ignored issue; this is especially true in rural areas of southern Xinjiang, where the frontier supports for education and intelligence have yet to be raised to the certain level. The government should not just concentrate on the economy and the stability; education issue for the next generation is crucial too. There should be systematic supports for intelligence, and this should be placed in the strategic level of the national frontier support work.
