On September 26, People's Daily published an article stating that state-owned enterprises (SOEs) set the goal of making themselves stronger, better and bigger, but this does not mean they should do everything; instead the focus should be their main industries. Anbound research team believes that as the national policies lean towards the SOEs, all kinds of resources are focused on SOEs, at the same time there are problems regarding corporate responsibility system, causing the future development not exactly optimistic. If SOE reform cannot be implemented, and the SOEs' problems cannot be solved systematically, the SOE will remain to be numerous, yet unprofessional and not strong.
