According to Taiwan's Central News Agency, Mainland China has recently invited 7 Taiwanese mayors and magistrates for visit. In this regard, we should point out that Taiwan-Mainland China's relations now enter a frozen period, mainly caused by 1992 Consensus not recognized by Tsai Ing-wen. The obstacles are mainly high-level political, while in the lower level, Taiwan and Mainland China still maintains actual interaction channel. This approach shows the flexible policy of China in handling its cross-strait policy, which not only provides channels of communication, but also pressures to Tsai Ing-wen’s administration.
