China's aluminium industry to face hard time
ANBOUND

In its information tracking and research, Anbound warned that in the trade disputes between the United States and China, the latest conflict might involve in the aluminium industry. During the G20 Summit in Hangzhou, the electrolytic aluminium industry was specifically mentioned during the meeting between President Xi Jinping and President Obama. In addition, according to incomplete statistics, since 2008 to 2012, there are 12 antitrust investigation cases from different countries on the Chinese aluminium materials. From these indications, Chinese domestic aluminium industry should be ready to face "hard time" under internal and external pressures; the domestic pressure would be on cutting industrial capacity and the international pressure will be from the United States' anti-dumping duty circumvention investigation.
