Challenging to advance the G20 China Programme
ANBOUND

The G20 took place from 4 - 5 September in Hangzhou on an unprecedented scale. The international community had high hopes of turning around the declining global economy through this summit, and they were especially hoping that China will advance the "China programme." According to President Xi Jinping's speech at the summit and the Chinese official’s stance, ANBOUND summarises the core of the “China Programme” as: embodying the principles of “co-consultation, co-construction, and sharing,” and proposing the ambitious goal of creating a “Community of a Shared Future for Humanity.” However, China still faces unprecedented challenges in its attempt to participate in and modify the US-led global governance structure.
