It is reported that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project which passes through the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir has faced protest from the local people.

The field studies conducted by ANBOUND Consulting reveal that there are competing interest groups fighting one another against China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the central government is having difficult time in keeping them in line and the trend seems to be escalating.

Besides, the land acquisition issues arising out of the economic corridors has also caused dissatisfaction among the certain locals who has blamed the Chinese-owned enterprises for their mischief.

This is actually a reflection of a much deeper problem within Pakistani society.
