Supply-Side Structural Reforms Should Not Be A Monologue
ANBOUND

At the 11th meeting of the Central Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs held on Nov 10, 2015, President Xi Jinping proposed that China should "strengthen structural reform of the supply front to increase the quality and efficiency of supply system".

It has been nine months since the central government first proposed the supply-side structural reform.

The longitudinal research made by ANBOUND Consulting suggests that the supply-side structural reform is facing a number of problems.

From the unification of the thinking to the alignment of the strategies, the nation remains confused and divided, be it in terms of the introduction of the policies or the implementation of the same.

Faced with this situation, in order to garner more support for the supply-side structural reform, the central government should shift from its current practice, mobilize more resources and introduce more supportive policies.

In any case, this round of adjustment and transformation should not be reduced into a monologue by the Central government, if the structural reforms fail to reach the general public, then it will become a failed reform.
