Since the beginning of the flood season this year, the climate in China has been very unusual.
As of now, there are over 1,000 counties affected by floods, causing nearly 200 lives.
During their field visits to some of the affected cities, the researchers at ANBOUND Consulting noticed that the local governments gave high priority to the disasters and mobilized all their personnel to help the victims.
However, in some areas, the public took the floods lightly and this could worsen the damages resulting from floods.
The research team at ANBOUND Consulting wishes to remind the government that as the flood is affecting larger parts of China and the damages caused by flood are increasing, the pressing task at the moment is prevention of risk!
The government should step up efforts to boost public awareness on the importance of risk prevention.
The emergency response centers in the mountain areas should be activated and the residents should be relocated temporarily.
Schools should take precaution measures by strengthening the inspections on the geology and construction sites at the mountains.
