Civil Servants, Not About Quantity But Quality and Efficiency
ANBOUND

As of the end of 2015, China has 7.167 million civil servants nationwide.

He Jun, senior researcher at ANBOUND Consulting is of the view that currently China does not have a big market nor does it have a big society, as a result of which things will get out of hand easily without a big government. A big government needs a lot of civil servants.

The problem that China faces is not the large number of civil servants but other problems – there are too many government employees, the government officials are too powerful, the efficiency is low, the public services is poor and the administrative cost is high.

The key problems with China's public servants are their low efficiency and poor services.
