Special Investigation to Promote Private Investment, Unlikely to Solve the Real Problem
ANBOUND
In order to halt a slowdown in private-sector investment, earlier, the State Council has decided to send inspectors to provinces to check whether central government policies favoring private investment are being implemented by local authorities.
ANBOUND's chief researcher, Chan Kung is of the view that although the State Council has attached great importance to this matter, it is impossible for the investigation to make any significant progress let alone to solve the problems.
This is because the slowdown in private investment is a structural problem, if the existing structural defects are not rectified, not only that the private enterprises and private investment will continue to decline, they will decline even faster.
