Cracking Down Fraudulent Offshore Organization While Developing Social Organizations
ANBOUND

Recently, Ministry of Civil Affairs disclosed a list of 100 non-governmental organizations (NGO) which were registered abroad by Chinese applicants.

These fraudulent, offshore social organizations have accumulated wealth by various unfair means.

ANBOUND's research team is of the view the government should curb the illegal, fraudulent activities conducted by these offshore social organizations.

However, at the same time, the government should continue to develop the social organizations, which shall become the nation’s 'third force" in addition to the government and the market.

There is a lack of social intermediary institutions in China let alone the effective social intermediary institutions that could organize social activities and shoulder social responsibilities.

As a result, the Chinese government has governed too much but with no good result.

Actually, if the government regulates and provides guidance to these social intermediary institutions, these institutions will be able to assume a lot of responsibilities for the government.
