During his visit to Anhui, President Xi Jinping stresses that as the country's economy still faces downward pressure, in the future, as the nation makes progress in supply –side structural reform, the country should pay more attention to employment problem and more jobs should be created for personnel that were laid off.

This statement certainly highlights the gravity of unemployment situation in the country for the time being and for a period of time in the future.

ANBOUND’s research team is of the view that the country is facing high level of structural unemployment and there is no sign of improvement in the employment situation.

Not only that the local governments should change their ways of thinking and introduce more policies and measures that are only practical but also effective in promoting employment, the personnel that were laid off, particularly those from state-owned enterprises should also change their mentality on employment.

The key to create employment is to allow the small and micro businesses to thrive and bring economic vitality.
