ANBOUND
It is reported that effective from April 25, Beijing's famed tourist spot Nanluoguxiang stopped receiving tourist groups and cancelled its application for a 3-A tourism attraction rating.
ANBOUND’s research team is of the view that the decision to prohibit the tourist groups in Nanluoguxiang should be reconsidered, this shows that in resolving the overcrowding issue, the government took a simplistic approach by banning tourist group altogether.
The service industry accounts for nearly 80% of the economy in Beijing city, serious consideration should be given on what kind of service-oriented government the city needs.
