US Presidential Election Will Postpone the Effective Date of TPP
ANBOUND
The resentment toward free trade now appears to have the upper hand in both the Democrats and the Republicans, making passage this year of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) far less likely.
The general view is that the United States Congress is likely to postpone the vote on TPP.
However, ANBOUND's scholars point out that many historical facts prove that the statements made by the candidates during the US elections are mostly campaign language which does not necessarily mean that the United States will be really doing it in the future.
TPP might be postponed or amended due to the domestic objection, but given that TPP is the economic pillar of the United States strategy, it is very likely that it will be implemented eventually.
