Not only that Australia has now become an important partner to US's Asia Pacific strategy, it has also become an important base for the United States to restrain China on South China Sea issues.
If such effect brought by the Australia continues to escalate, no doubt, this will cause tremendous pressure on China’s South China Sea Strategy.
ANBOUND’s scholars are of the view that China should take advantage of its trade relationship with Australia and strengthen the relationship between China and Australia through bilateral trades, investments and free trade agreements.
In face of the upgrading in the military cooperation between United States and Australia, the most fundamental bottom line that China should guard against is that the military alliance between the United States and Australia should not become a threat to China’s strategy.
Australia has to make the choice.
