ANBOUND: No Absolute Relationship Between High Urbanization Rate and Highly Developed Economy
ANBOUND

For the past thirty years, China has been using urbanization as a mean to promote economic growth and the core of urbanization has been development of real estate and the urbanization rate has increased from 17.9% in 1978 to more than 50% for the first time in 2011.

ANBOUND's research team however, is of the view that there is no absolute relationship between the urbanization rate and the development of the economy, there are countries with high urbanization rate but still very poor.

As the nation with over 50% of urbanization rate, the society too will enter into the high risk period and nation is experiencing some of the symptoms.

China should pay attention to the risks brought by high urbanization rate and pay attention to the quality of the city’s development and take steps to prevent China from becoming poor country with high urbanization rate.
