During his first dialogue with the officers at China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) as the chairman, Liu Shiyu says the main tasks of the CSRC include stringent regulation on the securities market, crack down on market manipulation, and actively facilitate the access of the external funds into the market.

Anbound's scholars have two suggestions for Chairman Liu, firstly the development of the securities should be steady and robust and secondly the financial innovations should be taken with care.

If Chairman Liu can pursue "steady development, vigilant innovation", then this will be a good start or else it will bring mess to the upcoming “national lianghui”, the annual plenary sessions of National People’s Congress and the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
