According to the latest Index of Economic Freedom report published by the Heritage Foundation, Hong Kong is the world's freest economy for 22 years in a row while Singapore came in second.

ANBOUND’s research team is of the view that although Hong Kong has again been elected as the world’s freest economy, since the "Occupy Central" protest, there are quite some changes to the economic environment in Hong Kong.

Presently, there is a certain degree of deviation of the actual development in Hong Kong from its title as the world’s freest economy.
