China's Peripheral Diplomacy: Indo-China Peninsular Not Looking Good

In its "return" to Asia-Pacific, United States has made Indo-China Peninsular an important landing base.

India has also been keen on its role as a platform to oversee China.

ANBOUND's scholars are of the view that China should be wary of the “centrifugal” tendency shown by the Indo-China countries.

This year, Laos is the chairman of ASEAN and in light of the unpleasant encounters between China and Vietnam in the past two years on South China Sea issue, we cannot eliminate the possibility that the ASEAN countries might take a harder stand against China on South China Sea issue.
