Bankruptcy Filing by Glencore's Subsidiary, Signaling Bankruptcy Tide in Commodities Industry
ANBOUND
It is reported that the prolonged slump in aluminum prices and the lockout have caused Glencore's US subsidiary, Sherwin Alumina to file for bankruptcy on 11th January.
ANBOUND’s scholars are of the view that international giants have suffered huge losses as a result of the continued low prices of commodities.
The filing of bankruptcy by Glencore’s US subsidiary might herald the beginning of the bankruptcy tide.
With the continued slump in global commodities, there will be more incidents of bankruptcy among the commodities enterprises, of which many of them are international giants.
