The U.K Financial Times have recently reported that the United States officials have again warned Europe against granting "market economy status" to China.

ANBOUND's research team is of the view that the United Sates have discriminated China in terms of trade and economic policy, as evident by the pressure exerted by United States over European Union to vote against the granting of “market economy status” to China.

In this regard, China should fight back through various efforts and China should strengthen its ties with the European Union and strive for EU’s recognition while propelling the nation’s market based reform to become a true market economy country.

It must be admitted that market-oriented reform needed by China for its current development.
