Lifting of the U.S. Oil Export Ban Have Far-reaching Impacts
ANBOUND

The U.S. Congress has lifted the 40-year ban on oil export.

ANBOUND's scholars are of the view that in the long run, this world’s largest crude oil importer will reduce its dependency on the international oil market and this will have far reaching impacts in the long term.

In the future, OPEC’s status will deteriorate over the time, and China will become the world’s largest importer of crude oil and China has to face the bigger pressure in securing its oil supply.

There will be changes to United State strategy on its global geopolitics and military distribution surrounding the safe supply of crude oil.
