The economic risk in South American countries like Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela is worsening. ANBOUND's scholars pointed out that China sees South American market as important strategic region, and has huge amount of investment there; this would mean that the potential risks are on the rise. China needs to evaluate the risks in the South American region from strategic perspective and devise corresponding plans.
