Schengen is facing the difficult situation, on the one hand, under humanitarian consideration, the borders should be opened to accept the refugee, on the other hand, the national security is under threat, leading to the various countries in the Schengen area to take their own precaution measures and the border fences are going up.

ANBOUND's scholars are of the view that against the backdrop of terrorism, religious clash and global economic crisis, the refugee crisis has exposed the weakness of the Schengen area and the Schengen agreement is facing the danger of complete collapse.

The Schengen area is already at the verge of falling apart and it has become increasingly difficult for the European countries to unite together in the face of refugee crisis, and the Europe is facing the risk of society being tearing apart.

It will be an even longer journey for the Europe to realize comprehensive integration.
