ANBOUND: China, Too, Should Impose Antitrust "Google Tax"
ANBOUND

What should government do in face of the monopoly in the internet industry?

ANBOUND's research team is of the view that China should learn from the European countries on their efforts in cracking down the market monopoly by technology companies including Google and Microsoft while maintaining the market order and protecting the innovative small and medium enterprises.

Chinese financial authorities should also impose "google tax" on Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent and other companies and to use the tax revenues collected to support the innovative small and medium enterprises and the emerging, creative internet companies.

This is beneficial to the development of “Internet Plus” and it helps to alleviate the financial pressure of the central government to certain extent.
