Xi's Visit to Viet Nam, Strengthening Mutual Trust, Promoting Economic and Trade Cooperation
ANBOUND
President Xi's visit to Viet Nam marks another important high-level state visit between China and Viet Nam, the first time for the General Secretaries of the two communist parties to exchange visits within one year.
Anbound’s scholars point out that, in recent years, the ties between China and Viet Nam was strained over territorial dispute in the South China Sea, making it hard to resolve the long-standing conflicts, which inevitably affect the trade and economic cooperation relations between China and Viet Nam.
The pace of the economic and trade cooperation between China and Viet Nam depends very much on the degree of political mutual trust and the willingness of the "comrades cum brothers" to maintain the friendship.
President Xi’s visit will strengthen the relationship of this level, and use this as a mean to promote the trade and economic cooperation between China and Viet Nam.
